What the Scholarship Covers The Gates Cambridge Scholarship is truly fully funded and provides comprehensive financial support for your entire degree programme at Cambridge. It covers the full cost of University of Cambridge tuition fees for your chosen programme which can range from ยฃ25,000 to ยฃ45,000 per year. It provides a maintenance allowance of ยฃ21,000 per year to cover accommodation, food, books and living expenses in Cambridge. It covers return economy class airfare from Nigeria to the United Kingdom. It includes a contribution towards thesis costs of up to ยฃ2,500 for PhD students. Family allowances are provided for scholars who bring their spouse or children to Cambridge. The scholarship also covers visa application costs and provides a settling-in allowance. Degree Programmes Available The Gates Cambridge Scholarship can be used for any full-time postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge. This includes PhD programmes in all disciplines, MPhil (Master of Philosophy) programmes, MSc programmes, MBA at Cambridge Judge Business School, Master of Law (LLM), Master of Public Policy (MPhP), and one-year postgraduate courses. How to Apply Applications for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship are submitted through the University of Cambridge graduate admissions portal at graduate.study.cam.ac.uk.
