About the Graduate Trainee Programme The KPMG Nigeria Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to develop the next generation of professional services leaders. Selected candidates will join one of three practice areas: Audit and Assurance, Tax, or Advisory and Consulting. Regardless of which practice area you join, all Graduate Trainees undergo the same intensive foundation training programme before specialising in their chosen area. Practice Areas Audit and Assurance: You will work on the audit of some of Nigeria most significant companies across banking, insurance, manufacturing, telecoms, oil and gas, and consumer goods sectors. You will learn how to assess the accuracy of financial statements, evaluate internal controls, and provide assurance to shareholders and regulators. KPMG will fully sponsor you to obtain the ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) professional qualification. Tax: You will advise Nigerian and multinational companies on their tax obligations including company income tax, value added tax, transfer pricing, and international tax planning. You will learn Nigerian tax law, FIRS regulations, and how to structure transactions to achieve tax efficiency within the law. Advisory and Consulting: You will help businesses improve their performance, manage risk, and implement strategic change. Work may include financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, management consulting, IT advisory, risk consulting, and forensic investigations. Professional Qualification Support KPMG Nigeria fully sponsors Graduate Trainees to study for and obtain internationally recognised professional qualifications. For Audit trainees KPMG will pay all ICAN or ACCA tuition fees, examination fees, and provide study leave. This professional qualification typically takes 3 years to complete and is highly valued across Nigeria and internationally.
