The Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives is offering grants of up to N500,000 to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) registered and operating in Lagos State. About the Lagos State MSME Grant Programme Lagos State is Nigeria commercial capital and home to the largest concentration of small and medium enterprises in the country. Recognising that MSMEs are the engine of economic growth and employment creation in Lagos, the state government has established this grant programme to provide financial support, capacity building, and business development services to eligible Lagos-based businesses. The programme is part of the Lagos State Economic Development Strategy aimed at creating jobs, reducing unemployment, and diversifying the Lagos economy. Grant Amount and Structure Eligible businesses can receive grants of up to N500,000 to support business growth, working capital needs, equipment purchase, or business expansion. The grants are non-repayable meaning recipients do not have to pay back the money they receive. Agriculture and Agribusiness โ€” urban farming, food value chain businesses, and agricultural processing in Lagos. Eligibility Requirements To be eligible for the Lagos State MSME Grant 2026 your business must be registered and operating in Lagos State. Your business must have a valid CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission) registration. Your business must have been operating for at least 6 months before the date of application. You must provide evidence of business activity such as bank statements, receipts, or invoices. You must demonstrate a clear plan for how the grant will be used to grow your business and create employment. Priority is given to businesses owned by women, young people under 35, and persons with disabilities. Application Process Applications for the Lagos State MSME Grant are submitted online through the Lagos State MSME portal. You will be required to complete an online application form providing details about your business, your business plan, how you intend to use the grant, and the projected impact on your business growth and employment creation.
