About the Short Service Commission

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Nigerian Army Short Service Commission 2026 candidates must be Nigerian citizens by birth. Candidates must hold a minimum of Second Class Lower degree from a recognised university or HND Upper Credit from a polytechnic in a relevant discipline. Candidates must have completed NYSC and hold a valid discharge certificate. Male candidates must be between 22 and 30 years of age. Female candidates must be between 22 and 28 years of age. Candidates must be physically fit and meet the Army medical standards. Male candidates must be at least 1.68 metres tall and female candidates at least 1.65 metres tall.
